Building the capacity of
GROUPS IN THE
COMMUNITY
WHO DO WE DO WE WORK WITH?

Refugee Support Group
The St George and Sutherland Refugee Support Group (RSG) is a volunteer-led group which meets regularly to discuss refugee issues and the implications for refugees living in our local community and beyond. Through working closely with refugees in the St George and Sutherland region and engaging with global refugee issues, we hope to build a welcoming and inclusive community that celebrates and encourages diversity and better understands the plight of refugees and Australia’s legal obligations to those fleeing persecution.

Men's Shed
Supporting and resourcing the core team of the Arncliffe Men’s Shed in addressing the issues that affect them as a group, including training these members in organising to build their capacity to act on these issues. This involvement builds the engagement of the CDO with the group in order to build a relationship to engage further around other projects.

High Schools in the South and the Inner-West
We work with schools to build the capacity of our future leaders in the South and Inner West of Sydney. We do this through our Schools Leadership Training in Community Organising.
